The <br />ground, however, is in the process of being <br />weeded and turned over. <br />In addition, for clarification to the <br />Commission members, it was explained that <br />during the Design Review Board hearing, <br />Commissioner Wood brought up the fact that <br />quite often a plant or tree placed in a <br />5-gal. can would vary in trunk size from <br />1/2 in, to 3/4 in. This, of course, <br />resulted in a considerable variance in the <br />size of the tree or plant. Commissioner <br />Wood indicated he would investigate this <br />matter thoroughly and report back to the <br />Commission. <br />Chairman Garriga n inquired of Commissioner <br />Pons if he had anything to report in his <br />capacity as liaison for the Parks and Rec- <br />reation Commission and the Planning Comm- <br />ission. Commissioner Pons indicated that <br />the members have been invited to attend the <br />meeting. <br />Commissioner Hirst stated that in certain <br />instances, usually on weekends, he noted <br />that some of the service stations have been <br />expanding the uses allowed in their con- <br />ditional use permits.
