No. 1139 <br />Approved <br />for this type of landscaping. Mr. McDonnell <br />stated that they would be willing to change <br />the specie of the approved tree. The <br />Commission suggested Monterey Pine. <br />,Commissioner Pons entered a resolution allow ng <br />the fence to be put five feet from the road <br />and to change the tree designation from Oliv <br />to Monterey Pine. This was seconded and <br />'carried unanimously. <br />City and County of San Francisco Water De- Resolution: <br />partment and Foothill Sunol Corporation, Seconded: <br />Conditional Use Permit for a 36-bed resi- Ayes: <br />dential care facility for alcholic patients Noes: <br />in an A (Agricultural) District, located on Absent: <br />Foothill Road east side, approximately 1 Abstain: <br />mile south of the intersection with Verona <br />Road, Sunol Area, Pleasanton Township. <br />Mr. Castro explained the application to the <br />Commission and displayed the site plan <br />accompanying the application. He told the <br />Commission that this would provide facilitie <br />fora rehabilitation program for alcholic <br />patients, would be a profit making organizat on <br />privately owned and operated on a volunteer <br />basis. <br />The Commission discussed this matter in deta 1 <br />and concluded that this proposal would be <br />incompatible for the immediate rural area, <br />and Bonita Park. <br />Members of the audience, Mr. Barry Nichols, <br />325 Mavis Drive, and Robert Myers, 332 Mavis <br />Drive, objected to this use in that specific <br />area . <br />Commissioner Hirst entered a resolution to <br />recommend to the County that this not be <br />approved as it is not a compatible use in <br />phap it is within 1000 feet of Bonita Park; <br />it is not a proper and necessary use in a <br />- 8 - <br />X <br />X IX <br />X <br />
