q~$AS"N~~y CITY of PLEASANTON
~ ~ '~~ •
.a
...o.
*° Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Dcfe : August 8, 1972
Time ; 8:0o P.M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Highways inferring that nothing
definite has been decided on this
particular interchange going in.
It was Mr. Mariani's contention,
that this was sufficient proof that
nothing has been decided regarding
a definite interchange for this
center.
Discussion followed on the question
of population justification and
Mr. Mariani inferred that there is
the possibility an interchange will
not go in at this location for as
long as 10 years.
Commissioner Wood then remarked that
the letter read by Mr. Mariani
inferred the opinion of just one
individual in the Highway Division
of present policy on approval or
denial of interchange construction.
Mr. Mariani then remarked that the
Commission could solicit a letter fr
the Highway Commission themselves
for verification if they so desired.
Mr. Mariani next determined that the
Stoneson site was originally zoned
in the County and in 1964 was brough
into the City under annexation pro-
ceedings. Discussion followed.
Mr. Mariani then asked whether
Livingston & Blayney had been solici
regarding their opinion on the most
feasible regional center site.
Mr. Castro advised that Livingston &
Blayney has been informed of the
City's desires to locate a center in
Pleasanton. Authorization has been
given to the consultants to review
the remaining lands in terms of the
highest and best land use and in
terms of its circulation.
d
-9-
