4y$~s"N~°y C T Y of <br />I PLEASANTON <br />~~; <br />.~ <br />`~~~° Planning Commission <br />~~sso s <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Dcte ; December 12, 1972 <br />Time : 8:15 P.M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The Public Hearing was then opened. <br />Secretary Castro summarized the <br />environmental impact report prepared <br />by staff for the benefit of the <br />Commission as well as the audience <br />present. <br />Mr. Stephen Chandler, Attorney for <br />Singer Housing Company, owners of <br />Tracts 3311 anti. 3312 spoke to this <br />matter as well as the rezoning consi <br />deration for these parcels which <br />follows directly after the environ- <br />mental impact statement consideratio <br />Mr. Chandler gave background on the <br />annexation agreement attached to <br />these properties, which was effected <br />in 1967. At that time, the City <br />specified the uses which would be <br />allowed and set forth some stringent <br />conditions. In addition, Mr. Chandl r <br />made reference to a P.U.D. permit <br />also granted in 1967, which also <br />carried with it some stringent <br />conditions. <br />The applicant is asking that the Cit} <br />honor its commitment when it granted <br />this P.U.D. In reliance of that <br />permit, his client purchased the pro- <br />perty for a considerable sum of money <br />and has put in the necessary improve- <br />ments required for a single family <br />development, and made the required <br />dedications of property to meet their <br />obligations to the City. To that <br />end, they had made provisions for <br />their school site, and adhered to <br />the park dedication ordinance re- '~ <br />quirements. They have also paid <br />for landscaping plan work for the <br />proposed park site. <br />-2- <br />
