M. <br />Fla Ce; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY <br />COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Mr. Castro, in his memorandum dated <br />February 22, 1973, gave the background <br />regarding this study, and the decisions <br />reached by the Hayward Planning Commission. <br />On Page 2 of the report, he recommended that's <br />this Commission forward a letter to the <br />Hayward City Council endorsing the recommen-i <br />dations of their Planning Commission and <br />also send a letter to the Pleasanton City <br />Council requesting that they inform the <br />Board of Supervisors of this City's support <br />of the actions and recommendations made by <br />Hayward's Planning Commission. <br />A motion was offered and adopted endorsing <br />Mr. Castro's eeeommendations as noted in <br />his memorandum. <br />Senior Planner Harris reminded the Commiss <br />of the luncheon meeting to be held to dis- <br />cuss procedures and problems which may <br />exist. <br />Senior Planner Harris told the Commission <br />that the department is in the process of <br />preparing the budget for 1973-74. The dead- <br />line is March 16. At the next meeting, staf <br />will present a run-down of the budget, but <br />prior to that would like to have a sub- <br />committee of Commission members to review <br />items of interest. <br />The Chairman wished to see a listing of up- <br />coming seminars which would be of interest <br />to them. <br />Commissioner Garrigan volunteered to work <br />on the subcommittee, as did Commissioner <br />Wood. <br />Commissioner Wood asked what steps are bein; <br />taken by staff for making sure that environ <br />-5- <br />
