CITY of PLEASANTQN <br />Planning Commission <br />MiN1~T~S~ ~QI~ REGUi_AR ME~T~N~, <br />DQ1!! ~ February 13, 1974 <br />Time; s:o5 P.M. <br />ptpQs{ Pleasanton Justice Court <br />;Chairman McLain referred to infor- <br />~mation he had received that an <br />application has been made to the <br />Public Utilities Commission to <br />conduct approximately 10 flights <br />a day by commercial airliner into <br />the Livermore Airport. <br />Chairman Pereira recommended that <br />the City Council be asked to com- <br />munic ate to the Public Utilities <br />Commission, citing the fact that <br />Livermore is planning a study of <br />uses for the airport and that we <br />have concerns of air traffic over <br />the City, and that we request that <br />either the P.U.C. take no action <br />or deny the application until such <br />time as the study is complete and <br />an EIR has been submitted. <br />The Commission further suggested <br />that Livermore Airport's application <br />for a Federal grant be brought to <br />the attention of the City Council <br />at the same time. The Commission <br />would like to notified of the <br />Council's actions regarding this <br />matter. <br />As a result of Commissioner's McLain' <br />questions regarding the effectiveness <br />o f the Traffic Committee , he was <br />;l appointed to contact the Council on <br />;fan informal basis in order to seek <br />solutions to these questions. <br />~~ <br />IIi <br />ADJOURNMENT t As there was no further business, ~~ <br />'the regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission was adjourned at 10:25 PM. <br />,~ ~ <br />Robert J.
