CITY of PLEASANTON
planning Commission
MINUT~~ ~4F REGU~_AR M~ETir~4~
QQ1e ~ March 13, 1974
Time Z 8 :08 P.M.
p~aRe~ Pleasanton Justice Court
;Because of the large investment in-
volved, Mr. Gale needed assurance
from the Commission of a favorable
position. Two acres to be devoted
to warehouses, green houses, etc.
About 2400 feet of one of the ware-
houses will be devoted to personnel
and office facilities to administer
-the sale of rose bushes out of their
production fields in Hamilton City
and Arizona, keep business records,
'handle all sales and keep payroll.
Pleasanton will receive the sales tax
'from these activities. This is where
',the clarification of the office fa-
'cilities to be conditionally allowed
comes in.
!Secretary Harris indicated that most
~of the uses in the "A" Zone are noted
'as conditional uses, there being only
!two or three permitted uses shown.
(Rose growing itself falls in the per-
~ fitted area, but the administrative
activity, would be the area of con-
cern. Secretary Harris clarified for
the Commissioners that whatever posi-
tion they chose, would apply to all
uses within the Agricultural District
nd not to just this particular appli
ation. I
iscussion followed.
Secretary Harris indicated that staff
has recommended approval provided that
the administrative use be allowed as
an ancillary use to the Agricultural
District. He likened it to admini-
strative offices located within an
Industrial District. The main ques-
tion was, do you allow it automa-
tically or conditionally.
-8-
\~
\~
~'~~\\~
,\\\\\
~~~~~~
II ~
I~
i I
h
~'
R
~~
I 4 ', I,
i~
