CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commissioq
M~NUT~$ ~~~ REt;U~_AR Mf~QTIfyGr
Dp~e ~ March 13, 1974
Timor a:oa P.M.
Pla~e~ Pleasanton Justice Court
twill be allowed in this interim peri
od until these conditions are com-
pleted; and, there would be no allow
ances made for sales to be conducted
'through an outside dealer.
CONDITIONAL USE
AND DESIGN PLANS First Baptist Church of Pleasanton -.
UP-74-3 and ".application for a conditional use
Z-74-23, Continued permit to allow a youth center to be.
to April 10, 1974 ''constructed and operated at 409
':Vineyard Avenue, Pleasanton; property
i~s located in an RM-15 (multiple unit
,residential) zoning district; and
!design review approval for said youth
:center.
The staff had nothing to add to the
staff report.
The Public Hearing was opened.
Mr. Jack Deligans, representing the
First Baptist Church spoke. He indi-
cated that he had received the staff
report, but there were several prob-
lems involved whereby they had not
had a chance to resolve the condition
for approval with the City prior to
the public hearing. He also felt
that the press should not be printing
material in the papers prior to his
receipt of the report.
Mr. Deligans then explained to the
Commission the types of activities
which would take place, which were
not exactly what the term "youth
center" means. The types of activi-
ties which will be conducted are
Bible classes, rather than the usual
noise and/or disturbance activities
more commonly associated with a youth
center. The Commission felt that the
Church should take steps to make thesE
points known to the adjacent property
owners.
-5-
_._ ._ ... ..r.__.~_._ _.. ._ . _.,.__. _ __.._.._._ _._........ :.. .._
o ~~~~
\~~~\ ~
~\\\\
~~~~
i I
~,
I
I' ~ ~ ~
Motion.
