The staff had nothing to add to the staff report. The Public Hearing was opened. Mr. Jack Deligans, representing the First Baptist Church spoke. He indi- cated that he had received the staff report, but there were several prob- lems involved whereby they had not had a chance to resolve the condition for approval with the City prior to the public hearing. He also felt that the press should not be printing material in the papers prior to his receipt of the report. Mr. Deligans then explained to the Commission the types of activities which would take place, which were not exactly what the term "youth center" means. The types of activi- ties which will be conducted are Bible classes, rather than the usual noise and/or disturbance activities more commonly associated with a youth center.
