Noes: <br /> Absent <br />An article on condominium living and related Abstain: <br />issues, was given to the Commissioners for <br />their review. <br />Mr. Lewis, attorney for the a pplicant, told <br />the Commission that this application had <br />received clearance from all agencies involve . <br />Discussion followed on certain phases of <br />the CC & R's. The maintenance fee is about <br />$35 per month, plus the cost of insurance, <br />and this amount can only be increased by a <br />majority vote of the membership. <br />This particular application covers 18 units. <br />Mr. Lewis stated that there are another 18 <br />units adjacent which can be included within <br />this application by simply filing CC ~ R's. <br />~ He explained the manner in which, under the <br />Subdivision Map Act, all these requirements <br />must be met. <br />Chairman Pereira noted that there are some <br />cities in the State who are not only adopt- <br />!~ ing ordinances prohibiting condominium <br />conversions, but also construction of new <br />ones. <br />Considerable discussion ensued. <br />.City Attorney noted that conversions must be <br />~~considered as tentative maps under the State <br />law.
