.,~ <br />MINUTES <br />Date <br />Time ; <br />PIaCe; <br />MATTERS INITIATED <br />BY COMMISSION <br />MEMBERS <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />May 8, 1974 <br />8:15 P.M. <br />Pleasanton <br />Justice Court <br />acquire it. <br />A motion was entered and adopted <br />making the finding that the dispo- <br />sition of said surplus property <br />after the widening of Peters Street <br />is accomplished, would be in con- <br />fo rmance with the General Plan of <br />the City of Pleasanton. <br />Commissioner McLain requested that <br />the City Attorney investigate the <br />possibility of ensuring that other <br />entities, when dealing within the <br />City Limits must comply in regard <br />to hearings before Council and <br />Commission; specifically, he was <br />referring to the property for the <br />future post office at Santa Rita <br />Road and Black Avenue. <br />Mr. Scheidig explained that the <br />agency in question is within the <br />Executive Branch of the Federal <br />Government and is a separate entity <br />not subject to local jurisdiction. <br />Further discussion ensued on the <br />requirement of an environmental im- <br />pact report, and the possibility of <br />some letter writing to the repre- <br />sentatives of the district for their <br />support . <br />Commissioner Wood spoke about the <br />decorative sidewalks which the City <br />would like to see within the down- <br />town area. He requested a com- <br />parison study cost-wise, etc., to be <br />undertaken by staff. <br />-16- <br />
