City Attor-
ney Scheidig indicated that perhaps
such a priority system will have to
be established when the plant opens
up but this is still under consi-
deration.
Chairman Pereira referred to the one
previous bad experience the City has
had with abandoned model homes and
the length of time it took to
legally abate them.
Next, a Mr. Lindberg spoke. He owns
property at the intersection of
Tawny and Vineyard. This is a grove
of walnut trees adjacent to Elliott's
property. He expressed problems
resulting from fill from the con-
struction of the model homes fil-
tering on to his property and caus-
ing him to not be able to work the
walnut grove to its full extent.
They had contacted Elliott, and
received immediate response. But,
a Mrs. Quaglia, holds the life
estate to the property, and since
she is rather elderly, it has been
difficult working with her. Mr.
Elliott indicated that he had
attempted to solve the problem, by
contacting MacKay & Somps. However,
the engineering firm had received
verbal approval from Mrs. Quaglia.
-3-
