The City Attorney indi- <br />cated that this special meeting would <br />probably be necessary since design <br />clearance was needed for Council <br />review of holding -tank application. <br />Mr. Jack Bras spoke in favor of this <br />application, requesting that the <br />Planning Commission show some <br />sympathy to the predicament these <br />people are in. Mr. Raymond Young, <br />~~revising his earlier position, also <br />',requested some compassion be shown <br />'Arrow Rentals , since if a new build- <br />ling needed to be built it would be <br />~~quite a while before they could open <br />i,shop . <br />The Commissioners felt that appli- <br />cant had ample time to look for <br />another place, he being aware months <br />previously that this would happen. <br />Mr. Chris Beratlis presented a list <br />of people they have contacted in the <br />hope of relocating, all to no avail. <br />The Public Hearing was then closed. <br />After some further discussion, a <br />resolution recommending denial, but <br />allowing the proponent 60 days to <br />vacate the premises was entered and <br />unanimously adopted. <br />City Attorney Scheidig brought up <br />the question discussed earlier re- <br />garding proper notification to pro- <br />perty owners when general plan amend- <br />ments, etc., are underway. He felt <br />that direction should be given to <br />staff on this. <br />Chairman Wood felt that area should <br />be posted. Secretary Harris stated <br />that if City Council agrees, the <br />-20- <br />
