4~'$ y <br />~8A"~° CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ '~/ . <br />~~~° Planning Commission <br />~x sv <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : April 9. 1975 <br />Time : 8 : oo P.M. <br />PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />'grant it, adding that had the area. <br />been within City limits, the City <br />would look favorably upon it. <br />MATTERS INITIATED <br />BY COMMISSION <br />MEMBERS <br />City Attorney Scheidig emphasized <br />that annexations must be initiated <br />by the property owners, and that the <br />City can do nothing in this instance. <br />He suggested that the City's letter <br />to County should indicate that this <br />area is also within the City's sphere <br />of influence, thus, would be favor- <br />ably looked upon by Pleasanton. <br />Secretary Harris further indicated <br />that it can be noted that the use is <br />appropriate for the General Plan <br />designation of the City. <br />Accordingly, a motion was entered <br />by Commissioner Garrigan, seconded <br />by Commissioner Butler and carried, <br />to send a letter to the County <br />incorporating the language proposed <br />by Commissioner Garrigan. <br />Commissioner Butler offered a reso- <br />lution of confidence to Roger McLain, <br />new Council appointee , who is to be <br />sworn in April 14, 1975. <br />Chairman Wood indicated there is a <br />land use conference scheduled for <br />May and that one Planning Commission <br />member probably should attend. Staff <br />would need an answer by the 14th. <br />Secretary Harris indicated that the <br />cost of the conference has been set <br />aside . <br />A reminder was given for Floyd Mori's <br />testimonial dinner on April 18. <br />-7- <br />
