Mr. Sooby repliec
that normally in a case like this, an
agreement would be obtained from the
property owners that the improvements
would be installed at the time the
properties are improved.
Some discussion ensued regarding cost
of installation' of the water line and
fire hydrant.
A resolution was then entered by Com-
missioner Butler to approve this ap-
plication subject to staff conditions,
and adding a condition that approval
be for one year only, at the end of
which time the traffic situation coulc
be reviewed to determine if continu- ~'
ance should be allowed. This resolu-'
tion failed to receive a second and
died.
Chairman Wood vetoed this proposed re•
solution because of the expensive
improvements which would need to be
made to allow a business which may not
be there a year later.
Chairman Wood then offered another
resolution denying this request, but
with the comment to the applicant
that he be encouraged to reapply once
the traffic situation at Suno1 Boule-
vard/Sycamore Road is alleviated. It
was approved by all Commissioners
present.
The Chairman advised the Marshalls
that they had the option to appeal
this denial within 15 days. Also,
because this application falls within
the confines of a conditional use,
they would have to wait a year to
re apply .
-5-
