M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />RZ-75-15, Res. 1380, <br />recommended for adop- <br />tion. <br />ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />RZ-75-13, Res. 1381, <br />recommended for adop- <br />tion. <br />Planning Commission - application to amend <br />Sec. 2-7.08 (a ), Article 8, Chapter 2, Title ] <br />of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan- <br />ton to allow swimming pool sales and service <br />as a conditional use in the C-F (Commercial <br />Freeway) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented background on this <br />matter which prompted this ordinance amend- <br />ment request. He asked that the Commission <br />review the draft ordinance attached to the <br />!staff report. If they concurred with this <br />proposal, they would need to initiate the <br />.necessary amendment. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. No comments <br />were forthcoming from the audience and the <br />Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution: <br />I Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Commissioner Shepherd wished to know a little) <br />more regarding the nature of this type of <br />an operation and whether there is anything <br />inherent in this kind of business which <br />would be detrimental to the district. <br />Another question raised by the Commissioners <br />was should the business fail, how can the <br />City protect itself. They felt some safe- <br />guard, similar to what is standard for a <br />service station, should be added.
