Planning Commission - application to amend Sec. 2-7.08 (a ), Article 8, Chapter 2, Title ] of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan- ton to allow swimming pool sales and service as a conditional use in the C-F (Commercial Freeway) District. Mr. Harris presented background on this matter which prompted this ordinance amend- ment request. He asked that the Commission review the draft ordinance attached to the !staff report. If they concurred with this proposal, they would need to initiate the .necessary amendment. The Public Hearing was opened. No comments were forthcoming from the audience and the Public Hearing was closed. Resolution: I Seconded: Ayes: Noes: Absent: Abstain: Commissioner Shepherd wished to know a little) more regarding the nature of this type of an operation and whether there is anything inherent in this kind of business which would be detrimental to the district. Another question raised by the Commissioners was should the business fail, how can the City protect itself. They felt some safe- guard, similar to what is standard for a service station, should be added. Planning Commission - application to amend Sec. 2-10.17 et seq of Article 20, Chapter 2; Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to revise the required conditions and administrative procedures for home occupations.
