~/ ... _ , ~ <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, November 10, 1982 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by <br />Chairperson Lindsey. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, William Jamieson, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Larry Lindsey, Chairperson <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Members Present: None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of October 27, 1982 were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris reported that Item 6c, Case RZ-82-18, should be continued <br />indefinitely pending a City initiated general plan amendment for the <br />property and that Item 8c, Tract 5006 should be continued to 12/8/82 <br />because adoption of the ordinance concerning the PUD was continued to <br />the next City Council meeting. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty spoke of the East Bay Today setting up newspaper <br />racks throughout the City and in fact chained to a tree and asked if the <br />City didn't have an ordinance relating to newspaper stands. <br />Mr. Harris spoke to encroachment permits indicating that encroachment <br />permits would probably be required to have newstands on the sidewalks, <br />but that the City has never tried to regulate this activity in the past. <br />
