4~$~8A"r°y CITY of PL~ASANTaN <br />.~, . <br />'~~~° <br />wr~o <br />Planning <br />Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br /> DCte : February 11, 1976 <br /> Time : s:oo P.M. <br /> PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The staff has analyzed this request, <br />the types of uses surrounding the <br />site, and the circulation patterns <br />bordering the property. It is <br />staff's opinion that this property <br />is appropriate for a church site. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked about <br />the parking for the church, and how <br />this would be coped with as the con- <br />gregation grows. Secretary Harris <br />explained that the size of the <br />parking lot is predicated on the sizE <br />of the building being proposed, as <br />required by Code. The plot plan <br />indicates two additional buildings. <br />When and if this occurs, additional <br />parking on the site will have to be <br />provided. The Design Review Board <br />would have to review the design <br />plans for the additions. <br />Hopyard Road traffic still concerned <br />Commissioner Doherty, who felt that <br />some thought should be given to <br />placement of additional no parking <br />signs during certain hours of the <br />day. Don Sooby stated that no <br />parking is permitted along that <br />portion of Hopyard Road at this time <br />Commissioner Carrigan felt that less <br />traffic would be generated from a <br />church than an apartment complex. <br />Discussion ensued ,regarding avail- <br />ability of sewer permits, and it <br />was pointed out that there are none <br />available at this time, apart from <br />those listed in the 1972 agreement. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Jim Hogue, spoke for the church. <br />He addressed his remarks to the <br />parking and traffic patterns which <br />would occur with the establishment <br />-5- p i ~ i i i i ~ <br />
