4~$~$""~~~ CITY of PL~~-SANTt~N <br />~~, <br />~~~• Planning Co~nrr~is~lon <br />~rrao <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : May 12, 1976 <br />Time : 8:35 P.M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Tassajara Road is projected to be a <br />highly congested road. <br />'Mr. Pearson said a visit was paid <br />Eby several members of the ad hoc <br />committee to the office of CalTrans <br />and he said while that agency did <br />not commit themselves, they did not <br />see anything wrong with the com- <br />mittee's proposal. <br />Mr. Pearson-also said that their <br />discussions with CalTrans mentioned <br />using accesses off the frontage road <br />somewhere midway between Hopyard and <br />Santa Rita Road. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Butler did not feel that <br />detailed street alignments within the <br />parcel should be contemplated at this <br />time, but he wondered if something <br />more concrete could be done about <br />alignment of the frontage road for <br />the area easterly at Tassajara Road. <br />Mr. Harris stated that to his know- <br />ledge no plans have ever been sub- <br />mitted for the property between <br />Santa Rita Road and Tassajara Road. <br />Staff had hoped that it would become <br />an auto sales center. However, this <br />appears less likely now; also, he <br />didn't think the property owner ever <br />specifically recommended such a use. <br />Commissioner Carrigan stated that <br />the Commission should probably take. <br />a long hard look at the exterior <br />circulation pattern for this pro- <br />perty. He would not want to see <br />Stoneridge Drive "dump" off into <br />West Las Positas Boulevard. Com- <br />missioner Shepherd agreed with these <br />comments. He stated he would want <br />something more specific for the <br />exterior circulation also, which <br />-3- <br />
