4~$~8A"~°y CITY of PL~~-~ANTON <br />~~, <br />'~~° Planning Commission <br />~9 <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : June 9, 1976 <br />Time : 8:20 P.M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />MATTERS FOR <br />INFORMATION OF <br />COMMISSION <br />MATTERS INITIATED <br />BY COMMISSION <br />MEMBERS <br />below the average compared to other <br />cities, we should amend our fee <br />schedule. <br />Councilman Brandes asked the Com- <br />mission to review the functions of <br />the Appeals Board to see if they <br />could take some of the load from the <br />Board of Adjustment. <br />Chairman Wood expressed his feeling <br />that there is no need for an Appeals <br />Board. <br />Secretary Harris informed the Com- <br />mission that on certain land the <br />City is leasing from the County <br />of San Francisco, in the County <br />itself, the U. S. Army in conjuncti <br />with the EPA is planning to constru <br />a 102 ft. instrument tower to <br />measure effects of spray irrigation <br />on air pollution. It should be in <br />place no longer than 18 months. <br />Commissioner Butler brought up the <br />matter of the illegal orange and <br />green sign still in the window of <br />the new record store on First Street <br />and asked that that be looked into. <br />Chairman Wood discussed the reorgani- <br />zation of the Planning Commission <br />at this time and asked for nomina- <br />tions for Chairman and Vice Chairman <br />of the Planning Commission. <br />Chairman Wood nominated Commissioner <br />Butler as Chairman and Commissioner <br />Doherty as Vice Chairman, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd and carried <br />unanimously. <br />Motion: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />X <br />-14- <br />
