MINUTES <br />PLAP7NING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />January 12, 1977 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:03 P.M., by Chairman Butler. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Roll Call was as follows: Commissioners Present: Doherty, Jamieson, <br />Shepherd, Wood and Chairman Butler. Commissioners Absent: None. Staff <br />Present: Bob Harris, Don Sooby, Harvey Levine, Frank Brandes, Council Liaison, <br />and Recording Secretary Yvonne McFadden. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Chairman Butler pointed out that the minutes of December 8, 1976, incorrectly <br />reported that a public hearing was held on the Oak Tree Center application. <br />The Public Hearing had been officially closed at the November 10, meeting. <br />The minutes should state that "although the public hearing was closed, the <br />Commissioners agreed to take testimony..." The minutes of the December 8, <br />1976 meeting were approved as amended. <br />"AWARD" <br />At this point, Chairman Butler recognized the "award" presented to the <br />Planning Commission at the Mayor's Awards Dinner. This award consisted of <br />a small replica of the "Ice House" on Main Street. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />The following items were continued: <br />GP-76-6, Thomas K. McManus - to the April 13, 1977 meeting to allow sufficient <br />time for preparation of the environmental impact report. <br />UP-76-29, Douglas Huntze, - to the April 13, 1977 meeting to allow sufficient <br />time for preparation of the environmental impact report. <br />UP-76-25, Earl Adams and Joseph Madden - continue to February 9, 1977, <br />pending resolution of the flood insurance requirements by the National Flood <br />Insurance Agency. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />RZ-76-22, Planning Commission - application to rezone approximately 53 acres <br />located south of Minnie Street between Sunol Boulevard and the eastern City <br />Limit line. <br />This is a continued Public Hearing. <br />Secretary Harris indicated that the staff is recommending that the property <br />be rezoned to Planned Unit Development, Medium Density Residential - about <br />four or five dwelling units per acre. Background on this application was <br />provided by Mr. Harris. <br />
