MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />September 7, 1977 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by <br />Chairman Butler at 8:02 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty, Jamieson (arrived 8:52 P.M.), Shepherd, <br />Wood and Chairman Butler <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert Harris, Director of Planning; Ken Scheidig, <br />City Attorney; Brian Swift, Planning Analyst; <br />Rich Glenn, Planning Analyst; Yvonne McFadden, <br />Recording Secretary <br />Councilmembers Present (in the audience): Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer and <br />Mayor Philcox <br />Growth Management Members Present (in the audience): Sharon Kosch, <br />Ann Rathjen and Penny Deleray <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the special meeting on Growth Management on August 8, 1977, <br />were approved as submitted. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />GP 77 3 and RZ 77-10, Pleasanton Residential Allocation Program <br />Application by the City of Pleasanton to adopt a "Community Development <br />Element" to the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton containing the goals <br />and policies of the City of Pleasanton related to new development with <br />particular emphasis on new residential development and to adopt an <br />implementing "Residential Allocation Ordinance" setting forth the criteria <br />governing future residential development in Pleasanton. <br />1. Consideration of public testimony concerning the Residential Allocation <br />Program. <br />Chairman Butler indicated that this was a continued public hearing to take <br />testimony. <br />Secretary Harris wished to mention that the meeting was advertised to <br />discuss the ordinance and the residential allocation element. The Com- <br />missioners have a copy of the proposed ordinance, but the Community <br />Development Element would be available at the end of the week. <br />The element is a part of the General Plan of the City and the ordinance <br />would be the governing document for the plan itself. <br />Before testimony started, Chairman Butler asked that those wishing to <br />comment on the Residential Allocation Plan limit their remarks to those <br />points that have not already been raised. <br /> <br />
