MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />September 19, 1977 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by <br />Chairman Butler at 7:18 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty (arrived at 7:22 P.M.), Jamieson, Shepherd, <br />Wood and Chairman Butler <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert Harris, Director of Planning; Brian Swift, <br />Planning Analyst; Ken Scheidig, City Attorney; <br />Yvonne McFadden, Recording Secretary. <br />Council Members Present: Frank Brandes (arrived at 8:37 P.M.), Joyce <br />LeClaire Carrived at 8:08 P.M.) <br />Growth Management Committee Members Present: Ann Rathjen, Sharon Kosch <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />No minutes submitted. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />RZ-77-10, Pleasanton Residential Allocation Program <br />Application by the City of Pleasanton to adopt a "Residential Allocation <br />Ordinance" setting forth the criteria governing future residential develop- <br />ment in Pleasanton. <br />1 - Recommend to the City Council the adoption, adoption in modified form, <br />or rejection of the Draft Residential Allocation Program Ordinance. <br />2 - Recommend to the City Council the adoption, adoption in mofified form, <br />or rejection of the Draft Mandatory and Incentive Elements forming <br />the selection criteria referred to in Section 2-13.07(f) of the <br />Residential Allocation Program. <br />Chairman Butler made opening comments saying that the Planning Commission <br />should be going over the Residential Allocation Ordinance and the mandatory <br />and incentive elements of the plan. <br />City Attorney Ken Schediig suggested that each Commissioner make his <br />comments regarding the ordinance. <br />Commissioner Doherty arrived at 7:22 P.M. <br />It was decided to review each section of the proposed ordinance. <br />Section 2-13.01. Purpose. The Commissioners had no comments. <br />Section 2-13.02. Findings. <br />Page 2, (f) (2), Commissioner Doherty did not feel the words, "suburban <br />sprawl" are appropriate. He is open to suggestion as to how the section <br /> <br />
