Planning Commission <br />June 13, 1979 <br />Page 4 <br />that the negative declaration prepared for this project be approved as there are <br />no significant adverse impacts on the environment concerning RZ-79-05. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 1750 was then entered and adopted approving the negative declaration for <br />RZ-79-05. <br />Commissioner Wilson then made a motion which was seconded by Commissioner Getty that all <br />of the subject area except the Madden property, railroad rights-of-way and Earl Augusta's <br />property be prezoned R-1-20,000 and that the latter be prezoned "A" (Agricultural). <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 1751 was then entered and adopted approving RZ-79-05 per the staff report <br />except that Augusta's property be prezoned "A" (Agricultural) District. <br />GP-79-10, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton for an amendment to the Conservation and Open Space <br />Element of the General Plan which would change the planned acreage of Mission Hill Park <br />from 20 to 8.5 acres. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report. <br />There were no questions of staff and the public hearing was declared opened. <br />Judith Mahew, 5584 San Jose, representing the Mission Park residents spoke concerning a <br />three acre park dedication. Mr. Campbell explained there is no three acre dedication and <br />that the City owns 82 acres of park area in Mission Hills. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Jamieson made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Getty that the application <br />of the City for a General Plan amendment be recommended for approval per the staff report <br />of June 13, 1979. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 1752 was then entered and adopted recommending approval of GP-79-10. <br />GP-79-07, Castlewood Properties, Inc. <br />Application of Castlewood Properties, Inc. for an amendment to the Land Use Element of <br />the General Plan which would change the land use designation of a 6 acre parcel of land <br />located at the southwest corner of Pico Avenue and Vineyard Avenue from "Parks and <br />Recreation" to "Medium Density Residential". The Planning Commission may recommend approval <br />of the requested change or recommend any other change in the property's land use designation. <br />The Planning Commission may also recommend a change to the General Plan designation of the <br />adjacent 10 acre parcel of land (located immediately easterly of the Mavis Drive, Ewing <br />Drive, Rowell Lane residential area) from "Parks and Recreation" to another land use <br />designation. A negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />
