Mr. Warnick indicated no action has been taken with
this regard.
Commissioner Doherty asked if with the proposed moratorium the
meeting of the 16th would still be held. Mr. Harris said Daon
would have to be considered on the 16th and they have purchased
sewer connections. Commissioner Doherty spoke to the Vineyard Avenue
immobile home proposal stating it doesn't make too much sense
to hear the matter in view of the action taken earlier in the
evening.
Commissioner Wilson said he is in favor of affordable housing, but
doesn't like to see the people ripped off.
Commissioner Jamieson spoke to concerns with regard to all of the
recent annexations. He said some people say annexations give City
more control when in fact there may be better control if
the annexations didn't take place. He said the City is moving too fast.
Chairperson Getty indicated that annexations are an important part
of the City's General Plan. Commissioner Jamieson said he still
doesn't see why the City is annexing so much property.
Mr. Warnick said the staff has recommended against some of these
annexations.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12:07am.
Respectfully submitted,
i~ y
Robert J.
