CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-176 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THEAPPLICATION OF JOSEPH <br />W. CALLAHAN, JR. AND GARY HANSEN FOR A GENERAL <br />PLAN AMENDM]ENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-90-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 18, 1990, the City Council <br />received an application from Joseph W. Callahan, Jr. and <br />Gary Hansen to amend the Land Use Element designation of <br />the General Plan of the approximately 12.52 acre site, <br />consisting of the 11.3 acre Madden property ("Commercial <br />and offices"), the .91 acre Augusta property ("Commercial <br />and Offices"), and the .33 acre Westfall property <br />("Medium Density Residential") to "High Density <br />Residential" or to any other land use designation deemed <br />in the public interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has held public hearings on the <br />proposed change and recommended approval; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment, at which time Council reviewed <br />the reports and testimony; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br />was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment <br />and adopted Resolution 90-175 approving the Negative <br />Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council desires to make changes to the Land Use <br />Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the <br />four times during the calendar year such changes may be <br />made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The City Council approves the application of Joseph W. <br />Callahan, Jr. and Gary Hansen to amend the Land Use <br />Element designation of the General Plan of the <br />approximately 12.52 acre site, consisting of the 11.3 <br />acre Madden property ("Commercial and Offices"), the .91 <br />acre Augusta property ("Commercial and Offices"), and the <br />.33 acre Westfall property ("Medium Density Residential") <br />to "High Density Residential". <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
