Commissioner Getty was concerned with fire access and wasn't sure
what kind of a compromise could be worked out. She did say,
however, that the area has 6500 sq. ft. lot, R-1 homes, a conval-
escent hospital and a veterinary clinic indicating the area is
mixed land use and that there is no 'heritage' ordinance in the
City.
Commissioner Jamieson urged everyone to get together and hoped
that permits were not lost to developer. His problem was with
density and two-story structures.
Chairperson Lindsey had concerns with density of the area and
urged the people concerned to get together.
Mr. Lund said he would like to have first priority for having
growth management approval and if he did would have no problem
in continuing the matter. He said two weeks will not get them
anywhere because the neighbors want single-family units and that
can't be economically accomplished in the area. Commissioner
Wilson suggested that perhaps the land was overpriced. Mr. Lund
stated that the units would sell between $160-168,000 and
$180-185,000 each.
A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner
Jamieson that case PUD-83-02 be denied without prejudice for the
reasons stated in the testimony.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson and
Chairperson Lindsey
NOES: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 2267 was then entered and adopted denying case
PUD-83-02. The applicant was advised he could appeal this
decision to the City Council.
