PLANNING COMMISSION 4/13/83
Page 21
Newspaper Dispensers
This matter was continued.
RZ-83-4, Churches in Industrial Districts
P~~r. Glenn stated that the City has looked into going to other
zoning districts for church uses. He stated the staff would
like the Planning Commission to consider the material presented.
Tom Victors, 6820 Eden Street, Dublin, addressed this issue.
He appreciated the Planning Commission efforts. He said he
support the changes proposed. He said at the onset they would
rather invest resources to people as opposed to new structures.
It seems to him that while meeting in an industrial area where
church hours do not conflict with industrial uses, there would
be no parking problem. He said they see lots of buildings
available which would suit where they are right now and at prices
they can afford.
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty to initiate an ordinance-code change to allow churches
in commercial and industrial areas as described in the staff
report but have the time limit eliminated.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson
and Chairperson Lindsey
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Commissioner Jamieson then brought up the matter of the Church
located on St. Mary Street over the Cellar Liquor Store. Mr.
Glenn responded-that the City has been working on that matter for
quite some time.
Meadow Plaza Associates Modification to Their Approved PUD
This matter will be advertised and considered at a later time.
TENTATIVE MAPS
MS-82-4, William Yee
Application of William Yee to subdivide an approximately 51 acre
site into four parcels, consisting of three approximately 5 acre
and one 36 acre parcel, located on the west side of Foothill
Road, directly across from Foothill High School. Zoning for the
property is "A" (Agricultural) District. A negative declaration
of environmental impacts will also be considered.
This matter is continued to 5/11/83 at the request of the applicant.
