CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-174 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVINGTHEAPPLICATION OF JOSEPH <br />W. CAT~%~IAN, JR. FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FILED UNDER CASE GP-90-5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 18, 1990, the City Council <br />received an application from Joseph W. Callahan, Jr. for <br />a General Plan Amendment to change the Land Use Element <br />designation of a 1.79 acre site located at 600 Palomino <br />Drive from "Commercial and Offices/High Density <br />Residential" to "High Density Residential"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has held public hearings on the <br />proposed change and has recommended approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment, at which time Council reviewed <br />the staff reports and considered public testimony; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the city Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br />was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment <br />and adopted Resolution 90-173 approving the Negative <br />Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council desires to make changes to the Land Use <br />Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the <br />four times during the calendar year such changes may be <br />made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the application of Joseph W. <br /> Callahan, Jr. for an amendment to change the Land Use <br /> Element designation of the General Plan for an <br /> approximately 1.79 acre site located at 600 Palomino <br /> Drive from "Commercial and Offices/High Density <br /> Residential" to "High Density Residential". <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> The City Council also indicates its preference that <br />any development plan for this site have at least 20% of- <br />the units set aside for low to moderate income housing. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
