PLANNING COMMISSION <br />5/25/83 <br />Page 7 <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Getty, Lindsey and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: Commissioners Doherty and T~Iilson <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None- <br />Resolution No. 2305 was entered and adopted denying the application <br />of Holiday Inns, Inc. for PUD approval of Case PTJD-83-7. <br />The applicant has 15 days in which to appeal the decision to the <br />City Council. <br />There was then a .five minute recess. <br />NEW BUSINESS -Public Hearings <br />PUD-83-9, Barnett-Ranbe/Shelter Capital and Sid Corrie <br />This item was continued to the meeting of June 8, 1983. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEIrI <br />IJewspaper Dispenser Study <br />This matter is discussed at the end of the aenda. <br />General Plan and Rezoning Studv for Reis Homes Propert <br />Ire response to a $etition nresented.at the last meeting, the <br />Commission i~rs~ttu-c~ed staff to come back with recom*nendations <br />for a General Plan Amendment for the site. <br />Mr. Harris indicated that without a traffic study for this area, <br />staff could not make a recommendation regarding a General Plan <br />amendment. If the Commission wishes to pursue this matter, it <br />should direct staff to ~renare such a studv. The Commission <br />inquired if this area had not been covered in the Dlorth Pleasanton <br />Assessment District studies and Mr. Swift responded that the <br />intersection of Stoneridge and Springdale had been, but the <br />intersection of Springdale and Stonedale had not been covered. <br />The public hearing was then opened. <br />Mr. Leonard McVicar of Pacific Designs, 255 North TZarket Street, <br />San Jose, addressed the Commission. His firm was responsible for <br />the original plan. He introduced r'Ir. Diclc Ivy of Barton Ashmann <br />Associates. Mr. _ry indicated the difference between medium <br />and high density :--~uld be 15-20 trips in peak hours, assuming for <br />high density, 15 dwelling units per acre.
