CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-173 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR GP-90-5, THE APPLICATION OF JOSEPH W. <br />CAT~/~%N, JR. FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE <br />ELk~4ENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE 1.79 <br />ACRES LOCATED AT 600 PALOMINO DRIVE TO THE <br />HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 18, 1990, the City Council <br />received a proposed negative declaration for the <br />application of Joseph W. Callahan, Jr. to amend the Land <br />Use Element designation of the General Plan for the <br />approximately 1.79 acre site located at 600 Palomino <br />Drive on the northeast corner of Palomino Drive and <br />Bernal Avenue from "Commercial and Offices/High Density <br />Residential" to "High Density Residential" or to any <br />other land use designation deemed in the public interest; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated July 17, 1990 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at'which time the <br />public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines <br />governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment would not have any significant adverse effects <br />on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for the application <br /> of Joseph Callahan, Jr. to amend the Land Use Element <br /> designation of the General Plan of an approximately 1.79 <br /> acre site located at 600 Palomino Drive from "Commercial <br /> and Offices/High Density Residential" to "High Density <br /> Residential". <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
