MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, July 27, 1983 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Planning Commission was <br />called to order at 9:30pm by Chairman William A. Jamieson. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey, DeWitt <br />Wilson and William A. Jamieson, Chairman <br />Commissioners Absent: Al Arrigoni, Alternate, was out of town <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Robert Okamura, Assistant City Engin eer; <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney; <br />Peter MacDonald, City Attorney; and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Members Present: None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Design Review Board and Planning Commission Minutes of June 22, 1983 <br />were approved as submitted. The Planning Commission Minutes of July 13, 1983 <br />were approved with the following changes: Page 14, substitute revision <br />submitted by Recording Secretary showing correct vote on Holiday Inns' <br />proposal; Page 15, second paragraph should be August 10, 1983 meeting <br />not August 14, 1983 meeting. <br />Commissioner Wilson announced that his vacation has been deferred for a <br />September 15, 1983 departure. Chairman Jamieson announced that he would <br />not be present August 10, 1983. <br />Chairman Jamieson also announced that in his quotation at the meeting of 7/13/83 <br />that a two billion dollar surplus of the City is incorrect and that <br />Commissioner Wilson will chair the August 10, 1983 meeting of the Planning <br />Commission. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION ON <br />ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA <br />Richard Spot, One Valley, Orinda, asked the Planning Commission for <br />clarification concerning the conditions imposed at the July 13, 1983 <br />meeting relative to his proposed new business at 929 Main Street. He <br />believed that the one year review of the approval was to address litter <br />and loitering only and the letter of approval sent to him <br />indicated all conditions are subject to review. <br />-1- <br />
