CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION <br />ADMINISTRATION (UMTA) TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FOR A COST/EFFECTIVENESS STUDY OF <br />TSMMEASURES IN SUBURBAN SETTINGS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) has <br />approved the city's application for funding under Section <br />8 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as <br />amended, to conduct a cost/effectiveness study of <br />transportation systems management (TSM) measures in <br />suburban settings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />to proceed with the study, the Council must authorize the <br />City Manager to execute the Cooperative Agreement with <br />UMTA and appropriate $12,300 from the General Fund as <br />local matching funds for the $70,000 in federal funds; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the Cooperative Agreement <br /> with the Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) <br /> to receive financial assistance for a cost/effectiveness <br /> study of TSM measures in suburban settings and authorizes <br /> the city Manager to execute the agreement. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Authorizes appropriation of up to $12,300 from the <br />General Fund as local matching funds to conduct the <br />study. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
