MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />11/9/83 <br />Page 8 <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2383 was entered and adopted recommending approval of the negative <br />declaration prepared for case GP-83-8 as motioned. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Chairman Jamieson recommendingthat <br />the property described in case GP-83-8 be changed from "High Density Residential" <br />to "Medium Density Residential" on the City's general plan. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Lindsey and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSTAIN: Commissioner Wilson <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. 2384 was entered and adopted recommending the land use change as <br />described in case GP-83-8. <br />Commissioner Wilson indicated that he abstained from voting because he believes <br />further study should be done with regard to this application with regard to traffic <br />and intersections. <br />RZ-83-8, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the provisions of the zoning ordinance <br />with respect to parking requirements in the Central Business District. <br />This matter was continued to November 28, 1983. <br />GP-83-9, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the general plan land use designation <br />for the tier of lots adjacent to the western right-of-way line of Peters Avenue between <br />St. John Street and Bernal Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial <br />and Offices" or to any other designation deemed in the public interest. A mitigated <br />negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />Commissioner Lindsey announced that he would step down and alternate Commissioner <br />Arrigoni would take his place relating to the Peters Avenue application because of <br />a conflict of interest. <br />Mr. Harris stated that this matter was continued from 10/26/83 because the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission are looking for a park site in the downtown area. He reviewed <br />the map which was attached to the staff report. <br />Chairman Jamieson felt that the audience might like to speak on this subject tonight. <br />Commissioner Getty didn't feel that whether or not a park was approved in the downtown <br />area it would make any difference on the general plan or zoning.
