MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />11/9/83 <br />Page 13 <br />UP-83-47, McBail <br />Application of the McBail Company for a conditional use permit to operate a model <br />home complex consisting of three model homes and related facilities on three lots <br />located on the east side of Gulfstream Street opposite Whitehall Court. Zoning for <br />the property is R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District. <br />Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report stating that the planning staff realized, after <br />the completion of the staff report, that the sales office was within 200 feet of existing <br />residential units (Lot 23). He asked that the following condition be added: <br />"That the model home complex shall be moved one lot to the north and the model <br />with the sales office shall be located on lot 23 so that it is at least 200' from any <br />existing dwelling as required by §2-10.23 of the zoning code." <br />The public .hearing ~~~;~ opened. <br />Mike Gallagher, McBail Company, addressed the Commission. He indicated he had <br />no objections to the conditions imposed by staff. <br />No one else addressed this matter. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey <br />that case UP-83-47 be approved as all required findings are made. This approval <br />is subject to the conditions of the staff report plus the additional condition is to <br />be added as requested by Mr. Harris. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, <br /> Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2386 was entered and adopted approving Case UP-83-47 as motioned. <br />GP-83-14, Murray Schools <br />Application of Murray School District to amend the general plan land use designation <br />on an ap;>_raximately11.9 acre site located on the north side of Muirwood Drive between <br />Springdale Avenue and Forest Hill Drive from "Schools" to "Medium Density Residential." <br />The Planning Commission may recommend any action on this application deemed <br />in the public interest. A negative declaration of environmental impacts will also <br />be considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. He stated that the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />has looked at all of the sites and has shown no interest in any of them except for <br />the site located in Mission Park. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />John Salbu, 5207 Muirwood Drive, was strictly opposed to residential development <br />of this site.
