19
THE CITY OF CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
- .,. ~„
j~L~~S~NTONo
May 1, 2007
Planning and Public Works
TITLE: SELECTION OF PREFERRED GENERAL PLAN CIRCULATION NETWORK
AND PREFERRED LAND USE PLAN
SUMMARY
On April 24, 2007, the City Council received information from staff and took public
comment regarding the results of traffic modeling for six General Plan scenarios. These
consisted of three land use plans, each modeled without and with the Stoneridge Drive
extension. The purpose of this meeting is for the City Council to select a preferred
circulation network and a preferred land use plan to be used as a basis for completing
the Draft General Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report. Attached is the Agenda
Report from the April 24, 2007, General Plan Joint Workshop which provides
information on the results of the traffic modeling.
RECOMMENDATION
Select a preferred circulation network and land use plan to be used as the basis for
completing the Draft General Plan and the Draft Environmental Impact Report.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The selection of a preferred circulation network, and its adoption and implementation (in
the future) as part of an updated General Plan will have financial impacts. It is
anticipated that circulation network improvements will be brought to the City Council as
traffic conditions warrant and at that time detailed cost estimates will be available.
S le
\ ~
nna De
Acting Director of
Planning and
Community Development
i~~_
Mike Tassano
Deputy Director
of Public Works/
Transportation
/~C ~~-.
Rob Wilson
Director of
Public Works
Approved y:
Nelson Fialho
City Manager
Attachment: April 24, 2007, General Plan Joint Workshop Agenda Report
X:\JaniceS\General Plan 2025\City Council reports\CC agenda reports 050107\CC AR Traffic.doc
