Minutes <br />Planning Commission. <br />12/12/84 <br />Commissioner Lindsey knows the applicants and feels they are fine <br />people. He doesn't feel, however, this use is proper for the <br />area. <br />Chairman Doherty referred to the other cocktail lounges in the <br />area but stated he would have a difficult time meeting the <br />findings to grant approval of this use permit, particularly <br />(Finding "B") "that the proposed location of the conditional use <br />and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained <br />will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, <br />or materially injurious to properties or improvements in the <br />vicinity." <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that case UP-84-1 be denied as required findings necessary <br />to approve this application cannot be made. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman <br />Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN:None <br />Resolution No. 2573 was entered and adopted denying case UP-84-1 <br />as motioned. <br />The applicants were advised that they have 15 days in which to <br />appeal this decision to the City Council. <br />Chairman Doherty indicated that testimony on the following two <br />cases would be taken simultaneously but that action of the <br />Commissioners would be taken separately. <br />GP-84-14, Equity Enter rises <br />Application of Equity Enterprises and the City of Pleasanton for <br />a general plan amendment to redesignate properties on the north <br />side of Stanley Boulevard between the Mobil Oil Company service <br />station located at 1024 Main Street and the 13.65 acre Madden <br />property located immediately east of 3963 Stanley Boulevard from <br />Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential. The <br />Planning Commission may recommend any action on this application <br />deemed in the public interest. A negative declaration of <br />environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />PUD-84-18, Equity Enter rises et al <br />Application of Equity Enterprises et al for PUD zoning and <br />development plan approval for a 39 unit townhome/condominium <br />project at 4005 Stanley Boulevard. Zoning for the property is <br />currently R-1-20,000 (Single-family Residential) District. A <br />negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be <br />considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff reports. He asked that Condition <br />No. 1 as shown in the staff report for GP-84-14 be amended as <br />- 6 - <br />
