Requests for exchanges of <br /> on -duty time shall be submitted on the proper form to <br /> employee's immediate supervisor and shall include both <br /> signatures of the people involved and their immediate <br /> supervisor. There shall be no limit to the number of <br /> exchanges per month. The employees involved in the <br /> exchange shall make arrangements for the pay back of time. <br /> 6.3 Shift and Station Assignments <br /> Shift and station openings and assignments shall be filled <br /> on the basis of seniority. Said openings and assignments <br /> shall be posted on all station bulletin boards and be open <br /> for bid to the entire department. <br /> Normal station assignments shall be bid once per year on <br /> January 1st based upon shift seniority; offices will bid <br /> first followed by firefighters. Firefighters, fire <br /> engineers and fire lieutenants will be allowed to remain <br /> at one station for a maximum of three (3) consecutive <br /> years. Fire captains shall bid three (3) stations during <br /> a seven (7) year time span. <br /> Mutuals are agreements between employees of the same rank <br /> to change shift and station assignments. Mutuals shall be <br /> considered trades between the employees involved. There <br /> shall be no limit on the number of Mutuals except that if <br /> an employee through Mutuals remains at the same station <br /> for more than three (3) years, the Fire Chief may <br /> temporarily transfer the employee for the purpose of <br /> training to another station for a period not to exceed ten <br /> (10) shifts. <br /> Section 7. Overtime <br /> 7.1 Payment <br /> Employees who are required to work after completion of <br /> their regular shift or are required to work to fill a <br /> shift outside his /her regular duty shift shall be entitled <br /> to overtime compensation for all hours so worked; <br /> provided, however, that the overtime rate shall be <br /> computed at one and one -half (1 -1/2) times the employee's <br /> regular rate of pay in thirty (30) minute increments as <br /> follows: <br /> One (1) minute through thirty (30) minutes, one -half (1/2) <br /> hour's pay at the overtime rate; thirty -one (31) minutes <br /> through sixty (60) minutes, one (1) hour's pay at the <br /> overtime rate, sixty -one (61) minutes through ninety (90) <br /> minutes, one and one -half (1 -1/2) hour's pay at the <br /> overtime rate, ninety -one (91) minutes through one - hundred <br /> - 9 - <br />
