Commissioner Innes felt that perhaps a support medical facility <br />surrounding the hospital might still be necessary as they are in <br />other areas. <br />Commissioner Lindsey stated that everyone appears to be in <br />agreement. Commissioner Wilson asked if the Hospital wants an <br />option on the property. Mr. Bartelson said they do and that <br />their main concerns run along the lines of acquiring property for <br />future expansion as opposed to building medical hospital offices. <br />Commissioner Wilson did not feel the condition relating to <br />restricting the development of the subject site until earslisment <br />of the hospital complex is done is fair. He felt 10 y <br />long enough to tie up a person's property. <br />Mr. Callahan indicated his willingness to have all of the <br />conditions of Ordinance No. 792 to apply, but asked the <br />Commission to strongly consider eliminating Condition No. 3. <br />Commissioner Innes expressed concerns with property being held <br />for hospital use and then realizing they couldn't expand if they <br />so desired. Commissioner Getty indicated there would be a one <br />year option period. Commissioner Wilson reiterated that 10 years <br />is long enough aoha1eenpiaetheohospital doesnntsgoraheady and <br />asked what woul pP <br />Chairman Doherty felt that one should be able to take the word of <br />a Hospital board member who says they have no problem with the <br />proposal. <br />Mr. Callahan pointed out that the hospital has approved <br />development plans. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey that the mitigated negative declaration prepared for <br />cases GP-84-13 and PUD-84-14 be recommended for adoption inasmuch <br />as any potentially significant adverse effects will be reduced to <br />significant levels as a result of conditions imposed in project <br />approval. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman <br />Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2545 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the Mitigated Negative Declaration as motioned. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lindsey that case GP-84-13 be recommended for <br />approval as stated in the staff report for this case. <br />- 13 - <br />_ _~ <br />
