Harris indicated that they have agreed to spend a considerable <br />amount of money on that intersection as a result of the recent <br />Suttergate access issue. <br />Commissioner Wellman asked if approval of the General Plan <br />amendment would mean approval of the water treatment plant as <br />well. Mr. Harris said it would not. <br />Chairman Doherty then asked Mr. Swift about the site acquisition. <br />Mr. Swift explained. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Mun Mar, Zone 7, reviewed the agreements between the Zone, <br />Federal government and the City. It may be some time before the <br />Federal Government executes the Quit Claim for the .89 acre iece <br />but they have a letter authorizing the use from the Federal P <br />government. <br />Commissioner Innes then discussed easements which run throughout <br />the subject property. <br />Peder Jacobson, 6122 Allbrook Circle was o <br />proposed because of noise, pollution~on Ho PPosed to the changes <br />about Hacienda's participation in improvingyHod Road. He asked <br />and asked what the Sutter Gate issue" was, Pyard at Parkside <br />explained. Mr. Jacobson had concerns that therYouthrSports Park <br />would not have use of this propert <br />for youth sports. Mr. Harris explainedhthatothere willsbe aside <br />use of the parking lot which Zone 7 is putting in which is vPebyic <br />much needed by the park. <br />Chairman Doherty then asked if the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission concurred with the reconveyance of the land. Mr. <br />Harris indicated that he is not sure, however, when McManus owned <br />the property, two tennis courts were <br />the Park and Recreation Commission atpthatstameodidhnotlwantnthem <br />on the property. Instead the tennis courts are now scheduled to <br />be installed on Hopyard north of Valley Avenue in the proposed <br />tennis center. <br />Commissioner Lindsey said the sports park has been used for both <br />adults and youth. Parking is needed for the park. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Innes asked Mr. Swift to explain the reversion of <br />acreage and how the property would be acquired from the Federal <br />Government. Mr. Swift ex lained. <br />with all of the easementspon the Mr' Swift also stated that <br />for the City to put something on thepsite andwdodgebthelwellslas <br />well as easements on the property.
