CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-166 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br />APPROVAL OF A MEMOI~tNDUMOFUNDERSTANDING WITH <br />THE PLEASANTON FIREFIGHTERS ~SBOCIATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City staff and representatives of the Pleasanton <br />Firefighters Association have been in negotiations <br />concerning a new Memorandum of Understanding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />agreement on a new MOU has been reached and it is <br />important to approve the agreement as soon as possible; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the <br />agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council that the <br />item arose after the time the agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />consideration of this item was not set forth on the City <br />Council agenda for September 4, 1990 because tentative <br />agreement was not reached until after the September 4, <br />1990 agenda was posted. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> Based on the findings set forth above, a resolution to <br />approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the <br />Pleasanton Firefighters Association is hereby added to <br />the September 4, 1990 agenda for Council consideration <br />and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
