Minutes of the Continued Planning Commission Meeting of 8/27/86
Held on 9/3/86
first may be affected by the decisions on other properties as
they are reviewed.
Mr. Lee suggested a tentative or straw vote be taken on clusters
of property which relate to one another.
Chairman Lindsey asked that everyone keep in mind a general
General Plan is being considered.
2A - Ferreri
The Commissioners discussed the property and while supporting
High Density Residential, could not support a change because of
traffic impacts.
Commissioner Innes would like to see Mr. Ferreri come back with
traffic studies and mitigation measures showing how the traffic
problems can be remedied; but, until such time as this is done,
he would support keeping the property Low Density Residential.
Chairman Lindsey believes this property should be High Density
Residential because of the location. If the General Plan is
changed to High Density Residential, traffic mitigation measures
could still be put into place.
Vote: Low Density Residential 4, High Density Residential 1,
(Chairman Larry Lindsey)
2B - Presley
Commissioner Michelotti felt that within the proposed designation
the City is coming close to what the developer wanted and other
issues could be addressed with a specific plan.
Vote: Community Facilities Alternative (CFA) (125 acres LDR,
104 acres PH&S, 50 acres parkland) 5-0
2C - Moller
Commissioner Innes supported CFA (Park and Recreation) for all
acres. He asked staff if the Residential Review Committee
supported this. Mr. Lee stated they did, but that staff chose
the specific site.
Vote: CFA (all park) 5-0
2D - Beratlis
Commissioner Hoyt felt the property should be Rural as proposed
with a specific plan. The property is steep and he had concerns
with erosion and slides.
Chairman Lindsey had concerns with the property being a higher
density than rural and the property being sold.
- 7 -
__~r._._ _ _ _ .__ _ __ _._.r
