Minutes of the Continued Planning Commission Meeting of 8/27/86 Held on 9/3/86 MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM `PHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA No one addressed this item. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS. TO THE AGENDA There were none. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Hoyt expressed concern with the previous meeting and discussion of the definition of 'Gross Acre.' He felt it was much too restrictive. Commissioner Innes pointed out that the action taken by the Planning Commission 8/27/86 was less restrictive than that proposed by staff. Commissioner Hoyt felt that the definition still called for too much restriction. Mr. Swift reviewed the technical aspects of the changes as proposed by the Commission at their 8/27/86 meeting. OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings GP-85-9, City of Pleasanton Application of the City of Pleasanton to adopt a new General Plan. The General Plan is a comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the future development of the community. The Plan covers a 43 square mile Planning Area which lies generally between I-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 and Pleasanton Ridge. The proposed General Plan designates allowable land use and densities for all properties within the 43 square mile Planning Area and establishes goals, policies, and programs within the following elements: 1. Land Use 2. Circulation 3. Housing 4. Public Safety 5. Public Facilities 6. Conservation and Open Space 7. Noise 8. Air Quality An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will also be considered. Chairman Lindsey stated that the policies were discussed and straw votes taken at the 8/27/86 meeting.
