Minutes <br />Planning Commissior. <br />March 26, 1986 <br />Loretta Russell, 759 Kolln Street, spoke against allowing any <br />kind of fortune telling in the City because some people take it <br />seriously. She read from the Bible Scriptures speaking against <br />this use. <br />Robert Russell, 759 Kolln Street, felt that to allow an area in <br />town for this use would be to sanction it. He did not feel that <br />approval would be in the spirit of the Pleasanton community. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Discussion ensued concerning the proposed application and a <br />motion was made by Commissioner Innes, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hoyt that Case RZ-86-3, application of the Planning Commission <br />for an amendment to the Ordinance Code to permit fortune telling <br />in various commercial zoning districts be denied, the intent <br />being to defer action until an actual use permit application is <br />before the City. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2776 was entered and adopted denying Case RZ-86-3 <br />as motioned. <br />UP-86-7, Best <br />Application of Kenneth Best for a conditional use permit for a <br />recreational vehicle storage facility to be located on an <br />approximately 19.2 acre site located on the south side of Boulder <br />Street, approximately 275 feet east of the intersection of Quarry <br />Lane and Boulder Street. Zoning for the property is I-G-40,000 <br />(General Industrial) District. <br />This matter was continued to 4/9/86. <br />UP-86-10, Osicki <br />Application of Sigi Osicki for a conditional use permit for a <br />sandwich shop to be located within an existing catering <br />establishment located at 7116-A Johnson Drive. Zoning for the <br />property is I-G-40,000 (General Industrial) District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one addressed this item. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />- 5 - <br />r _. __._. <br />
