Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />August 26, 1987 <br />Chairman Lindsey would like to see the site preserved. The house <br />is not of any historical significance nor importance to him. <br />Mr. Singleton reported that: Messrs. Wiemken, Jennaro and <br />Singleton will all be out of town on September 9, 1987. <br />UP-87-34, Larry Evans/The Game Station <br />Application for a conditional use permit to operate a game arcade <br />at 4301 Valley Avenue. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development) - Commercial District. <br />This matter was continued to September 9, 1987. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSIONS REVIEW <br />Future Planning Calendar <br />No action required, nor taken on this item. <br />Actions Taken at the City Council Meeting of Auqust 18, 1987 <br />No action required, nor taken on this item. <br />Report on Status of Temporary Stop Signs/Signalization at Old <br />Bernal Avenue and Main Street Intersection <br />Mr. Leach reviewed the signage at Abbie/Main and Bernal/Peters. <br />The temporary signage at Old Bernal Avenue and Peters will be <br />removed. The Stop signs on Main could be put back in but there <br />is a large amount of traffic at Abbie/Main Street. <br />Sergeant Balch said there have been some close calls southbound <br />on Bernal Avenue where people are expected to stop and they are <br />not doing so. Mr. Leach said they would look into this matter. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Swift reported that a letter was distributed earlier from <br />James Manfrin, 288 Ray Street, requesting a change to the <br />Municipal Code to allow bed and breakfast inns in commercial <br />areas. <br />The motion was made and unanimously carried to initiate an <br />application to amend the Municipal Code to allow bed and <br />breakfast inns in commercial areas as requested. <br />T?FTi~F121?~T.S4 <br />There were none. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSIONS INFORMATION <br />There were none. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />- 9 - <br /> <br />
