Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />August 26, 1987 <br />Happy Valley Area designated Low Density Residential. Mr. Swift <br />stated there are others. <br />Commissioner Berger stated if the Low Density Residential <br />designation is changed on this property, then others in the area <br />should also be changed. <br />Commissioner Hoyt said he could be supportive of changing the 145 <br />acres. <br />Commissioner Tarver said he would have a problem changing the <br />property from Public Health and Safety because of services, etc., <br />but could support Rural Density Residential for the entire area. <br />Commissioner Michelotti discussed the density effects of 15 acres <br />Low Density Residential, vs 30 acres Low Density Residential. <br />Mr. Swift explained. <br />Chairman Lindsey was not in favor of downzoning the Spotorno 15 <br />acres from Low Density Residential. Chairman Lindsey indicated <br />he was inclined to go along with the General Plan committee's <br />recommendation. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Berger, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hoyt to change 145 acres of the Spotorno property to <br />Rural Density Residential with the remaining 15 acre Low Density <br />Residential portion to remain as shown on the General Plan. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, and Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: Commissioners Michelotti and Tarver <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. PC-87-92 was entered and adopted recommending <br />approval of Case GP-87-4 as motioned. <br />UP-87-22, Shin <br />Application of Dong-Kyu Shin and Shin's Martial Arts Center for a <br />conditional use permit to allow for the operation of a studio for <br />the instruction of martial arts to be located at 649-A Main <br />Street. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District. <br />This item was withdrawn. <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />Z-87-352, Berkey <br />Application for design review approval for a comprehensive sign <br />program for the automobile sales/service facility located at 4350 <br />Rosewood Drive.
