Minutes Planning Commission August 26, 1987 Happy Valley Area designated Low Density Residential. Mr. Swift stated there are others. Commissioner Berger stated if the Low Density Residential designation is changed on this property, then others in the area should also be changed. Commissioner Hoyt said he could be supportive of changing the 145 acres. Commissioner Tarver said he would have a problem changing the property from Public Health and Safety because of services, etc., but could support Rural Density Residential for the entire area. Commissioner Michelotti discussed the density effects of 15 acres Low Density Residential, vs 30 acres Low Density Residential. Mr. Swift explained. Chairman Lindsey was not in favor of downzoning the Spotorno 15 acres from Low Density Residential. Chairman Lindsey indicated he was inclined to go along with the General Plan committee's recommendation. A motion was made by Commissioner Berger, seconded by Commissioner Hoyt to change 145 acres of the Spotorno property to Rural Density Residential with the remaining 15 acre Low Density Residential portion to remain as shown on the General Plan. UP-87-22, Shin Application of Dong-Kyu Shin and Shin's Martial Arts Center for a conditional use permit to allow for the operation of a studio for the instruction of martial arts to be located at 649-A Main Street. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District. This item was withdrawn.
