Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />Wednesday, April 22, 1987 <br />Chairman Lindsey said he would like to see security guards on <br />duty who would be off-duty policemen. This service should be <br />paid by all tenants in the center. Mr. Evans reported that the <br />7-11 Store is owned by Southland Corporation who do not like <br />security guards because they fear it projects a bad image for <br />them. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Berger, seconded by <br />Commissioner Michelotti that all findings shown on the staff <br />report are made and that Case UP-87-6 be approved subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report, deleting Condition No. 3, and <br />amending Condition No. 1 to read "landlord" instead of <br />"applicant," Condition No. 8 was also amended to show that this <br />use permit is granted for a period of two (2) years. The balance <br />of this condition remains intact. <br />Inasmuch as this is a new conditional use permit, the Planning <br />Commission directed the property owner to provide security for <br />all of the tenants within this center as a further condition of <br />approval. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Michelotti, Tarver, and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: Commissioner Hoyt <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. PC-87-46 was entered and adopted approving Case <br />UP-87-G as motioned. <br />RZ-87-2, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code <br />relating to provisions for the location of subdivision sales <br />offices not less than two hundred feet from any existing dwelling <br />outside this subdivision. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this case. <br />Mr. Swift also reported that under the Municipal Code conditional <br />use permits for model home complexes are allowed to be approved <br />by the Zoning Administrator and asked that this policy be used in <br />approving future complexes. The Planning Commission unanimously <br />supported staff approving conditional use permits for model home <br />complexes in the future as opposed to having them come before the <br />Planning Commission as provided for in the Municipal Code. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one addressed this matter. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />- 15 - <br />_ _~ <br />
