MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION WORKSHOP <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Manager's Conference Room <br />123 Main Street <br />Wednesday, July 20, 1988 <br />7:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission Work Session was called to order at 7:OOpm <br />by Chairperson Sharrell Michelotti. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Berger, Jack Hovingh, <br />Marcelline Mahern, Ben Tarver, and <br />Sharrell Michelotti, Chairman <br />Commissioner Absent: Brian Hoyt <br />Staff Members Present: Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; and Chandler Lee, <br />Principal Planner <br />Chairman Michelotti called the meeting to order and indicated <br />there would be an informational workshop concerning items listed <br />on the agenda. <br />Discussion ensued between the Planning Commission, the Director of <br />Planning and Principal Planner concerning the planning process <br />for the General Plans, Specific Plans, Rezonings, PUD's, <br />Subdivisions, Design Review, Conditional Use Permits, Variances, <br />and procedures for various administrative reviews not seen by the <br />Planning Commission. Discussion centered around the kinds of land <br />use regulations which take place at each development stage. <br />The Commission then reviewed the CEQA process, including ways the <br />Planning Commission could best provide input into the EIR <br />process. <br />The Commission then turned to an up date of major planning <br />projects and discussed with the Principal Planner the status of <br />the Housing Element review, TMI Specific Plan, Stoneridge Specific <br />Plan, SFWD Specific Plan, Downtown Specific Plan and the South <br />Livermore Plan undertaken by the County. <br />
