He spoke of
the modifications, noting that Building D is now attached .to
Building E which gives better access than before.
Chairman Michelotti asked if he had any renderings to show. He
displayed a Large rendering of the project. He pointed out the
colors and the type of material to be used, noting that two of
the kiosk structures had been eliminated with the modification
of Apri 1 1987.
Chairman Michelotti asked if this was the same project as
before. The applicant said it was, but the better rendering of
the project was at a convention. He pointed out the
modi#ications, noting the changes center around Buildings B
through F. The original project consisted of two buildings t2
and 3) that were separated by a tower structure and a large
courtyard area. The applicant is now proposing to split these
two buildings with a 25-30' driveway.
Commissioner Berger asked about the landscaping along the new
driveway on Chabot Drive. The applicant pointed out that
substantially more planting would be included with the
modification, adding that the increased landscaping would
provide more screening of the loading dock and rear elevations
of Buildings B-E.
Harold Embre also represented the application. He was concerned
that the Gomrnission felt they were lowering the project with the
modifications. He assured them that the modifications were not
that extensive to cause concern.
Page 14
