He spoke of the possible widening of Stanley Blvd. He spoke of <br />the Heritage trees along Stanley Blvd., noting that they would <br />try to keep them if at all possible. He said the site is <br />crisscrossed by easements which also creates difficulties. <br />Chairman Michelotti asked Mr. Boyd if he had a sample of the <br />material to be used for the exterior of the building. He did <br />not have one, but described it as a quarry-stone texture or like <br />soundwall material. <br />Mr. Kantor returned to the podium. He agreed with comments made <br />regarding traffic problems that might arise on Stanley Blvd. and <br />Del Valle Parkway. He introduced Darryl Alexander who he said <br />would speak on that issue. <br />Darryl Alexander of Alexander and Associates, 20~ Main Street, <br />spoke regarding the various preliminary alignments that have <br />been analyzed for the connection to Del Valle Parkway. He <br />stressed that they would consider Alternatives B, C, D, but not <br />A. <br />Commissioner Hovingh asked if the Heritage walnut trees would <br />not interefre with the power Iines. Mr. Alexander said they <br />would move the power tines underground. <br />Tom Hyrnes also represented the application. He addressed some <br />of the services that might located in the complex, such as <br />restaurants, light industrial, etc. He expressed surprise that <br />staff was opposed to the color and design of the project and <br />discussed that at length. <br />Earl Augusta, 713 Community Court, Ripon, CA., <br />the application. He felt there would be a great impact on his <br />store and home which was in close proximity. It was his <br />understanding that 5G1 feet of his property would be taken for <br />the possible widening of Stanley Blvd., and he was opposed to <br />that. <br />Commissioner Hovingh discussed with Mr. Irby the possibility of <br />each party giving up 25 feet of their property. Mr. Irby did <br />not wish to do this. <br />Chairman Michelotti discussed with Mr. Swift how realignment of <br />Stanley Blvd. might work. <br />Gene Finch, iv Deer Oaks, expressed concern that the timing of <br />the project is wrong.
