Section 4. General Plan Amendments <br /> <br /> The Pleasanton General Plan - 1986 is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> A. The planning area of the Pleasanton General Plan is <br />expanded to include the area defined as the Ridgelands Study Area. <br /> <br /> B. All land in the Ridgelands Study Area is designated as <br />"Public Health & Safety". (No development is allowed in these <br />areas other than single family homes on existing lots of record <br />which meet the City's requirements for access, public safety, <br /> <br />building site, architectural design, etc.) <br /> Section 5. Implementation <br /> <br /> A. In order to implement this ballot measure, the Ridgelands <br />Review Committee is hereby directed to complete its work and report <br />its recommendations to the City Council. <br /> <br /> B. The City Council shall comment on the report and then <br />forward it to the Planning Commission for review and <br />recommendations in the manner provided by law for general plan <br />amendments. In due course, the Planning Commission shall recommend <br />appropriate actions with respect to the Ridgelands based upon the <br />report of the Ridgelands Review Committee. <br /> <br /> C. The City Council shall not amend the General Plan for the <br />Ridgelands without first referring the Ridgelands Review Committee <br />recommendation, as received from the Planning Commission and acted <br />upon by the City Council, to the people of the City of Pleasanton <br />for ratification by vote of the electorate. <br /> <br /> D.
